Resumo
O objetivo do presente estudo foi analisar e descrever a presença da vantagem de jogar em casa no voleibol brasileiro por meio dos indicadores de desempenho (ações terminais) no contexto do local do jogo (mandante/visitante) na Superliga Brasileira de Voleibol (masculino e feminino).Foi realizado um estudo quali-quantitativo por meio de uma pesquisa documental e, posteriormente, um estudo de caso. Em um primeiro momento, foi desenvolvida uma pesquisa documental com os resultados dos jogos das superligas masculina e feminina de voleibol durante quatro temporadas (2009/2010 a 2012/2013) a partir da análise de todos os jogos da primeira fase dos respectivos campeonatos (n= 1256 jogos). Foram observados os indicadores de desempenho que compõem os pontos do jogo tais como saque, ataque, bloqueio e erros do adversário. Para análise dos dados, foi utilizada estatística descritiva (média e desvio padrão) e, para a comparação dos dados, foi realizado o teste qui-quadrado e a análise de variância utilizando o software SPSS 17.0. Em segundo momento, um estudo de caso foi realizado como forma de obter respostas relacionadas ao desempenho técnico-tático utilizado por equipes de voleibol por meio de uma entrevista individual e semiestruturada com sete treinadores expertsna modalidade composta por questões relacionadas ao desempenho técnico-tático das equipesnos diferentes contextos do jogo (casa ou visitantes), valorizando o conteúdo qualitativo da fala dos entrevistados. As informações das entrevistas foram codificadas, comparadas e agrupadas por similaridade de sentido. Os resultados do estudo documental evidenciaram que há vantagem em jogar em casa, pois apresentaram maior prevalência de vitória para as equipes que jogavam em casa no masculino (56%, X2= 11,346, p<,01) e no feminino (55%, X2= 5,718 e p <0,05). Os indicadores de desempenho mais associados com a vitória foram o ataque e o bloqueio, independente do sexo e do local da partida. No estudo de caso, de acordo com as análises dasentrevistas com os treinadores observa-se maior preferência por jogos disputados como mandantes do que como a equipe visitante, visto que em casa há maior familiaridade dos jogadores com os pontos de referência da quadra, bem como o contexto social envolvido (entre os mais citados a qualidade do sono, alimentação adequada, apoio da família, apoio de torcedores). Com base nos resultados, foi identificado o padrão de desempenho das ações terminais no voleibol de forma longitudinal no contexto do local do jogo (mandanteou visitante) além de considerações oportunas no que diz respeito ao contexto do local do jogo(mandante/visitante).
Abstract
The objective of the present study was to analyze and describe the presence of advantages of playing at home in Brazilian volleyball(male and female) by means of the performance indicators (terminal actions), in the context of the locationof the game in the Brazilian Volleyball SuperLeague (male and female). A qualitative-quantitative study was carried out through a documentary researchand, subsequently, a case study. Initially, a documentary research was developed with the results of the games of the masculine and feminine superleagues of volleyball during four seasons (2009/2010 to 2012/2013) by means ofthe analysis of all the games of the first phase of the respective championships = 1256 games).The performance indicators that compose the points of the game were observed: serve, attack, block, and opponent errors. For data analysis, descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation) were used and the chi-square test and analysis of variance were performed using SPSS 17.0 software. Subsequently, the case study was conducted as a way to obtain answers related to the technical-tactical performance used by volleyball teams, through an individual and semi-structured interview with seven expertcoaches in the modality, including questions related to technical-tactical performance of the teams in the different contexts of the game (home or visitors), giving value to the qualitative content of the responses. The interview information was coded, compared, and grouped according to similarity of meaning. The results of the documentary research showed that there are advantages to playing at home, with a higher prevalence of victories for the teams that played at home for both the male (56%, X2= 11.346, p<.01) and female teams (55%, X2= 5.718, p <0.05). The performance indicators most associated with victory were the attack and block, regardless of gender or location of the match. According to the analyzes performed in the case study from the interviews with the coaches, greater preference was observed in games played at home than as the visiting team, since at home there is greater player familiarity with the reference points of the court,as well as the social context involved (among the most cited; sleep quality, adequate food, family support, support of fans). Based on the results, the pattern of performance of the terminal actions in volleyball was identified longitudinally in the context of the location of the game (home or away), as well as appropriate considerations regarding the context of the game location (home/away).
