ESTUDO DO PERFIL E EXPECTATIVAS DE CARREIRA DOS ALUNOS INGRESSANTES EM ADMINISTRAÇÃO

Resumo
Nas últimas décadas ocorreu um aumento no número de instituições de Ensino Superior em nosso país e isso se deve, em grande medida, à necessidade e pressão do mercado de trabalho que tem demandado profissionais mais qualificados e especializados. Dentre as muitas graduações oferecidas, o curso de Administração tem se destacado em função do grande número de alunos que optam por esta formação. Na verdade, a graduação em administração é a mais procurada por aqueles indivíduos que iniciam seus estudos no Ensino Superior. Pensando na realidade do aluno que está iniciando sua experiência acadêmica num nível superior, este trabalho buscou, por meio de um estudo de caso em uma instituição de ensino no interior do estado de São Paulo, analisar quais são as características que compõe o perfil dos alunos ingressantes, bem como suas expectativas de carreira. Trata-se de uma pesquisa exploratória – diagnóstica, com abordagem quantitativa e qualitativa. Os dados foram obtidos por meio de questionários aplicados aos discentes ingressantes no curso de Administração. Quanto ao referencial teórico, foram abordados: os elementos que compõem uma carreira profissional e suas ramificações, o estudo das gerações, as âncoras de carreira de Edgar Schein, a história e o momento atual do curso de Administração no Brasil e o perfil dos profissionais administradores divulgados na pesquisa realizada pelo Conselho Federal de Administração. A pesquisa foi realizada com 307 alunos do curso de administração da IES estudada (os quais responderam dois questionários em momentos diferentes) e os dados coletados foram analisados de forma estatística para melhor compreensão das informações. Os resultados apresentados sugerem que os ingressantes possuem uma inclinação orientada para a construção de uma carreira que equilibre seus anseios profissionais e pessoais e, por isso, não estão dispostos a alcançar cargos gerenciais que lhes exijam um alto grau de comprometimento e sacrifício pessoal. No que diz respeito ao perfil, constatou-se que: há uma expressiva presença do gênero feminino entre esses ingressantes, a maior parte dos pesquisados possui vínculo empregatício, estes empregos ocorrem especialmente em funções administrativas e a IES estudada tem sido escolhida devido a sua privilegiada localização e sua boa reputação. A pesquisa demonstrou, ainda, que, quando comparada com as demais áreas oferecidas, a área de Gestão de Pessoas é a que mais desperta interesse acadêmico. Portanto, com base em toda a análise de dados, conclui-se que o perfil dos ingressantes é bem heterogêneo e que as expectativas de carreira dos pesquisados está atrelada ao estilo de vida que almejam alcançar.
Abstract
In the last decades there has been an explosive increase in the number of higher education institutions in our country and this is largely due to the need and pressure of the labor market that has demanded a more qualified and specialized workforce. Among the many graduations offered, the Administration course has stood out due to the large number of students that opt for this training. In fact, the degree in administration is the most sought after by those individuals who begin their studies in Higher Education. Thinking about the reality of the student who is starting his academic experience at a higher level, this work sought, through a case study in a teaching institution in the interior of the state of São Paulo, to analyze what are the characteristics that compose the profile of the incoming students As well as your career expectations. This is an exploratory-diagnostic research, with a quantitative and qualitative approach and data obtained through questionnaires applied to students entering the Administration course. As for the theoretical reference, the elements that make up a professional career and its ramifications, the study of the generations, the career anchors of Edgar Schein, the history and the current moment of the Administration course in Brazil, and the profile of the professional administrators Disclosed in the survey conducted by the Federal Board of Directors. The study was carried out with 307 students from the HEI administration course studied (who answered two questionnaires at different times) and the data collected were statistically analyzed for a better understanding of the information. The results presented suggest that the students have a career-oriented inclination that balances their professional and personal desires and, therefore, they are not willing to reach managerial positions that demand a high degree of commitment and personal sacrifice. With regard to the profile, it was verified that: there is a significant presence of the female gender among these participants, most of the respondents have an employment relationship, these jobs occur especially in administrative functions and the HEI studied has been chosen due to its privileged Location and its good reputation. The research also showed that, when compared to the other areas offered, the area of People Management is the one that most arouses academic interest. Therefore, based on all the data analysis, it is concluded that the profile of the participants is very heterogeneous and that the career expectations of the respondents are linked to the lifestyle they aim to achieve.
