Resumo
Esta pesquisa tem como tema avaliar a influência do pós-modernismo na
formação dos estudantes do ensino médio do Colégio Atenas, Paracatu-MG. Para tanto, visa identificar se o pós-modernismo influencia a formação desses estudantes, ao evidenciar as diferenciações teóricas existentes entre o modernismo e pós-modernismo. Aborda ainda, a localização e o histórico do Colégio, salientando-se sua missão, sua proposta pedagógica, assim como seus princípios éticos e morais e alguns conceitos primordiais para o entendimento do assunto, tais como: modernidade, pós-modernidade, educação e globalização. O ponto de partida para a elaboração deste trabalho foi à conceituação de
modernidade e pós-modernidade, amarrando-se estes conceitos ao contexto educacional, e analisar tais proposições teóricas com os documentos disponibilizados pela gestão do Colégio Atenas. Verificou-se pelas teorias estudadas, que no período moderno, as relações eram mais
estáveis e as mudanças processadas na sociedade não eram tão rápidas quanto na atualidade, período conceituado nesta pesquisa por pós-modernidade. Na pós-modernidade, as informações chegam ao destinatário de maneira mais rápida, e este processo global possibilita a mudança contínua de padrões e comportamentos. O que era estável na modernidade,
também denominada por sociedade sólida, passa a ser instável na pós-modernidade, conhecida por sociedade líquida. As pessoas se transformaram em função de uma desconstrução de padrões que já estavam cristalizados, como por exemplo, a escola e a família. Nesse sentido, o estudo proposto com o auxílio de teorias relacionadas ao assunto,
busca analisar o novo perfil de adolescentes emergente do pós-modernismo e como a escola consegue absorvê-los em seu seio, ou seja, examinando se a pós-modernidade, que traz em seu bojo o vírus da mudança constante, tem exercido influência na formação desses adolescentes e como a escola tem reagido às mudanças. Nesse enfoque, foi traçado o caminho para a obtenção dos resultados da pesquisa, através de questionários aplicados a discentes, docentes e gestores da instituição citada, com vistas a analisar as respostas quantitativas e
qualitativas obtidas, confirmando ou negando a proposição de que a pós-modernidade influenciou na formação do novo perfil do estudante do Colégio Atenas. Ademais, procurou demonstrar seu comportamento dentro e fora do ambiente escolar, assim como a sua relação familiar, a sua formação enquanto cidadão, os tipos de relacionamentos vivenciados por eles e o manuseio das novas tecnologias que surgem a cada segundo, no auxílio à sua formação. Portanto, a pesquisa em questão situa o aluno do ensino médio do Colégio Atenas como pertencente à pós- modernidade e analisa se ela exerce algum tipo de influência em sua formação.
Abstract
This research aims to assess the influence of postmodernism in the training of high school students in Colégio Atenas, a school located in Paracatu, Minas Gerais. To this, it aims to identify postmodernism influences in the formation of these students, by showing the theoretical differences between modernism and postmodernism. It also discusses the location and history of that high school, pointing out their mission, their pedagogical as well, and their ethical and moral principles, besides the essential concepts for understanding the subject, such as modernity, post-modernity, uniting these concepts to the educational context, analyzing theoretical propositions based on the documents made available for the management of Colégio Atenas. Based on the studied theories, it was found that in the modern period the relationships were more stable and changes in the society were not
processed as fast as nowadays, moment renowned post-modernity, during this research. In post-modernity, the information reaches the destination more quickly, and this global process enables continuous changes in patterns and behaviors. What was stable in modernity, also
called “solid society”, it becomes unstable in the postmodernism, known as “liquid society”. People have became themselves according to the deconstruction of standards that were already crystallized, for example, school and family. In this sense, the proposed study, counting on the help of the theories related to the subject, analyzes the new profile of teenagers emerging from postmodernism and how the school can absorb them into its limits, that is, examining whether the post-modernity that brings in its context a virus of changing, has influenced the formation of these adolescents and how the school has responded to the changes. In this approach, the path was traced to obtain the results of the research, through questionnaires applied to students, teachers and administrators of the mentioned institution,
in order to analyze the quantitative and qualitative responses obtained, confirming or denying the proposition that post-modernity influenced the formation of a new student’s profile in that school. Moreover, sought to demonstrate their behavior inside and outside the school environment, as well as their family relationship, their training as a citizen, the types of relationships experienced by them and the handling of new technologies that appear every second, helping their education process. Therefore, this research locates the high school’s student of Colégio Atenas as belonging to post-modernity, and examines whether it exerts some influence in their formation.
