Resumo
O objetivo desta dissertação é refletir sobre a temática do fracasso escolar, por considerá-lo um tema recorrente nos estudos sobre educação e, especificamente sobre a educação escolar. Abordando historicamente tal problemática e ancorada na perspectiva histórico-cultural do desenvolvimento humano, o caminho seguido foi o da escuta: ouvir professores e outros profissionais que compõem a equipe de direção de uma escola estadual de ensino fundamental I de uma cidade do interior paulista, buscando captar os significados que esses profissionais dão ao fracasso escolar, como identificam suas causas e que caminhos propõem diante de tal realidade. Foi possível identificar como a escola enfrenta o fracasso escolar e algumas propostas de intervenção em sala de aula. As propostas apresentadas pela escola e por alguns professores nos oferecem pistas para pensarmos possibilidades de enfrentamento do fracasso escolar.
Abstract
The aim of this essay is reflecting about the thematic of school failure, in considerate it a recurrent topic in studies on education and, particularly about the school education. Approaching historically this problematic and anchored in the cultural-historical human development perspective, the way followed was the listening: hearing the teachers and other professionals that compose the direction team of a Municipal School of Basic Education 1 from a town in the inner state of São Paulo, seeking to capture meanings that these professionals named to the school failure, how they identify its causes and what ways they proposed in face of this reality. It was possible to identify the way the school faces the school failure and some proposals for intervention in classroom. Proposals presented by the school and by some teachers show us tracks in order to we think about possibilities of confrontation against school failure.
