Resumo
Este estudo teve como objetivo principal compreender a proposta e as contribuições da disciplina de Fundamentos da Educação Especial no quadro dos componentes curriculares do curso de Pedagogia de uma faculdade particular do interior paulista. A pesquisa discutiu aspectos políticos, históricos, legais e culturais da História da Educação Especial no Brasil e a formação de professores no curso de Pedagogia. Utilizou como método de pesquisa a abordagem qualitativa e como técnica a análise documental. Foram analisados os documentos referentes ao Projeto Político-Pedagógico da instituição, com ênfase nos objetivos gerais e específicos do curso de Pedagogia, a ementa da disciplina Fundamentos de Educação Especial, seus objetivos e a bibliografia. As análises apontam que a disciplina de Fundamentos de Educação Especial orienta-se por uma formação reflexiva, problematizando o papel do professor, sua função mediadora, as práticas que serão desenvolvidas na direção da efetivação das políticas de educação inclusiva e o respeito aos ritmos de desenvolvimento dos alunos. No entanto, essa formação só será significativa se valorizar a interdisciplinaridade, articulando teoria e prática das diferentes disciplinas em torno do trabalho com a diversidade.
Abstract
This study aimed to understand the proposal and the contributions of the discipline Fundamentals of Special Education within the curriculum components of the pedagogy course of a private college in São Paulo country side. The research discussed political, historical, legal and cultural history of Special Education in Brazil and teacher training in pedagogy courses. Used as a research method qualitative approach and how technical analysis of documents. Were analyzed documents relating to the Political-Pedagogical Project of the institution, with emphasis on general and specific objectives of the Faculty of Education, the menu of the course Fundamentals of Special Education, its objectives and bibliography. The analyzes suggest that the discipline Fundamentals of Special Education is guided by a reflexive formation, questioning the role of the teacher, his mediating role, practices will be developed towards the realization of inclusive education policies and respect the pace of development of students. However, this training will only be significant to appreciate the interdisciplinary, combining theory and practice of different disciplines around work with diversity.
