Resumo
Este trabalho realizou uma pesquisa de campo junto às pequenas empresas de um cluster regional para levantamento de dados sobre o processo de informatização. O objetivo da pesquisa de campo foi obter informações que pudessem diagnosticar a real situação dessas empresas e dar suporte à elaboração de uma proposta de um plano de ações de informatização utilizando Software livre. O trabalho apresenta, via revisão bibliográfica, conceitos de pequenas empresas, Software livre, gestão da informação, sistemas de informação e informações sobre tecnologia em pequenas empresas sob o aspecto da utilização de hardware, Software e gestão da informação. O estudo foi realizado por meio de um levantamento bibliográfico como procedimento inicial, seleção da literatura de interesse, com objetivo metodológico descritivo, utilizando como delineamento o survey. A coleta e análise dos dados apontam para a ausência de informatização em grande parte das pequenas empresas entrevistadas. Esta carência de informatização é justificada, além de outros motivos pela falta de investimentos financeiros.
Abstract
This work carried out a field survey contacting small companies of a regional cluster to achieve data findings about the information process. The aim of the field survey was to acquire information that could help to diagnostic the actual situation of these companies and to provide support to the preparation of a proposal for an information action plan using free Software. The work presents, via bibliographic review, concepts of small firms, free Software, information management, information systems, and information on technology in small firms under the aspect of utilization of hardware, Software, and information management. The study was carried out by means of a bibliographic survey as an initial procedure, selection of literature of interest, with descriptive methodology objetive, using the survey itself as a parameter. Data collection and analysis lead to the absence of informaiton at most of the interviewed small companies. That shortage of information is justified, besides other reasons, by the lack of financial investment.
