Resumo
Esta dissertação é um estudo das cartas de Nóbrega e Anchieta, padres que fizeram parte da Companhia de Jesus, com a missão de salvar almas, catequizando-as na virtude, na educação, nos costumes europeus.
Padre Nóbrega chega ao Brasil em 1549 e o Padre Anchieta em 1554 e a comunicação por cartas, era um dos únicos meios da época de aproximar as colônias da Metrópole.
Para uma melhor compreensão das cartas foram realizadas leituras dos livros de Emerson Tin, Thiago B. de Aguiar e no artigo de João Adolfo Hansen para que a leitura tivesse uma referência a época e tornasse possível uma visão aproximada dos acontecimentos daquele período.
Para essas leituras com mais de quatrocentos anos, tivemos de levar em conta, sua estrutura no modelo paulino da epístola, a formatação para livro, sua tradução entre outras. Essas cartas eram uma das maneiras utilizadas pelos padres, para narrarem os acontecimentos ocorridos em terras brasileiras e quase sempre traziam aspectos sobre o cotidiano dos europeus e dos nativos.
Esta dissertação buscou compreender as marcas deixadas pelo trabalho executado pela Companhia de Jesus, nos primeiros tempos do encontro entre duas culturas diferentes, marcas que alteraram profundamente a história desses dois povos.
Abstract
This dissertation is a study of the letters of Nóbrega and Anchieta, priests who were part of the Society of Jesus, with the mission of saving souls, catechized them in virtue, in education, in European customs.
Father Nóbrega arrived in Brazil in 1549 and the father Anchieta in 1554 and the communication by letters, was one of the only means of time to bring the colonies of the metropolis.
For a better understanding of the letters were performed readings of Emerson Tin books, Thiago B. de Aguiar and João Adolfo Hansen's article for the reading had a reference to time and can become an approximate view of the events of that period.
For these readings with over four hundred years, we had to take into account their structure in the Pauline model of the epistle, the formatting to book, its translation among others. These letters were one of the ways used by priests to narrate the events in Brazilian territory and almost always brought aspects of the daily lives of Europeans and natives.
This research sought to understand the marks left by the work done by the Society of Jesus in the early days of the encounter between two different cultures, brands that have profoundly changed the history of these two peoples.
