Resumo
Este trabalho visa identificar se há coerência entre o discurso e a prática
na capacitação e no treinamento da área da manutenção para aumento de
qualidade e produtividade das pequenas e médias empresas do setor metal
mecânico da Região Metropolitana de Curitiba-PR. O período da pesquisa foi
de junho de 2003 a julho de 2004. Foi realizada uma pesquisa de campo com
questionário e entrevista em uma amostra de 33 (trinta e três) empresas. Foi
constatado, nas empresas pesquisadas, que os fatores qualidade e
produtividade são perseguidos, bem como a capacitação dos profissionais é
vista como relevante para a melhoria da qualidade e produtividade. Porém,
evidenciou-se que estas empresas, de fato, apresentam um descolamento
entre o discurso e práticas adotadas, onde prevalece o investimento no
patrimônio e na busca das certificações e não na capacitação dos profissionais
da área de manutenção.
Abstract
This work aims to identify if there’s coherence between the speech and
the practice in the qualification and training in the maintenance area for
increasing the quality and the productivity of small and average companies in
the mechanical metal sector in the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba/PR.
The research lasted from June/03 to July/04. A fieldwork with questionnaires
and interviews was done with a sample of 33 (thirty-three) companies. It was
identified that the quality and productivity factors are pursued, so as the
professionals qualification is seen as relevant for the quality and productivity
improvement.
However, it was realized that these companies present some distance between
the speech and the practices adopted, where there’s an investment in the
patrimony and for seeking certifications rather than in the professionals
qualification in the maintenance area.
