Resumo
A presente pesquisa é um breve levantamento sobre a polícia judiciária perfazendo uma digressão histórica até a previsão legal no direito pátrio e as atribuições da autoridade policial sedimentada no respeito e promoção da dignidade da pessoa humana. Propõe-se uma reflexão crítica sobre o paradoxo existente entre a previsão legal dos direitos fundamentais e sua efetividade pela polícia. A partir disso, o trabalho constata que a violação aos direitos fundamentais dos cidadãos que estão sujeitos a atuação da polícia acaba refletindo na percep-ção da população quanto à importância da figura do delegado de polícia na atuação repressiva e combativa da violência e criminalidade.
Abstract
This research gave a brief survey of the judicial police making a historical tour to the legal provisions on parental rights and duties of the police authority settled on respect and promotion of human dignity. It proposes a critical reflection on the front of the existing para-dox between the legal provision of fundamental rights and their effectiveness by police. From this, the work finds that the violation of the fundamental rights of citizens who are subject to police action end up reflecting the perception of the population about the importance of police chief figure in the repressive and combative actions of violence and crime.
