Resumo
As organizações vivem sofrendo mudanças em seus ambientes, principalmente para se adaptarem ao mercado onde estão inseridas. Dessa forma é importante que a organização tenha um Planejamento Estratégico adequado para que possa manter-se ativa e competitiva no seu ramo de negócios. Atualmente a informação é um recurso vital a ser utilizado em qualquer organização moderna, sendo que esta proporciona e agiliza a tomada de decisão tanto para gerenciar inovações como para melhorar o que já está implementado na empresa. Consequentemente a informação passa a fazer parte da estratégia de sobrevivência da organização. Nesse contexto este trabalho apresenta um estudo da aplicação metodológica do Planejamento Estratégico de Tecnologia da Informação. Foi realizado um estudo em metodologias consagradas de Planejamento de Tecnologia da Informação, e sobre esse estudo foi proposta uma metodologia para Planejamento de Tecnologia da Informação para um ambiente universitário. Um estudo de caso foi realizado no Núcleo de Computação, formado por um conjunto de laboratórios de Informática da Universidade Metodista de Piracicaba. O fácil entendimento da metodologia por parte do gerente do laboratório, e a simplicidade em sua aplicação, foram fatores fortes para manter a equipe do projeto motivada e propor ao Núcleo de Computação a capacidade de adaptação rápida às mudanças no ambiente em que está inserido. Este estudo mostrou a forte tendência da aplicação da Tecnologia da Informação nos processos estratégicos das organizações, o que direciona à determinada especificidade de Planejamento de Tecnologia da Informação em ambientes corporativos. Abstract
The organizations have been going through changes in their environments, specifically in order to fit into the respective markets that affect each environment. As a result of these changes, it is essential for the company to keep adequate strategic planning in order to keep the competition alive in their business area. Recently, the information has been a vital resource to be used in any modern organization, offering decisions and speeding up any decision-making. The information has also aided im managing innovation and improving what has already been incorporated into the company. Consequently, the information becomes part of the strategy that is critical to the survival of the organization. In this context, the changes to the organization present a study of the methodological application of the strategic planning of Information Technology. An study in consecrated methodologies has been made for the planning of the Information Technology. It was proposed that a planning methodology of Information Technology would be implemented for the University environment. A study was made at the main center of computer laboratories of the University of Piracicaba, Unimep known as "Núcleo de Computação". The laboratory managers´ understanding of the methodology and the simplicity of its application are the reasons for motivating the project team as well as offering to the "Núcleo" the ability of quick adaptation to the changes of the environment where it is implemented. This study presents the strong tendency of application of the Information Technology in the strategic processes of the organizations, which will point to a determined characteristic of the information technology planning inside environments.
