Resumo
Nosso trabalho teve o objetivo de analisar o processo de semiformação na Educação a distância, utilizando para tanto, como exemplo, o IESDE (Instituto de Estudo Social do Desenvolvimento Educacional) que ofereceu o curso normal de nível médio a distância, em Palmares Paulista-SP, no período de 2003 a 2004. Examinamos, ainda, o sentido da proposta, verificamos como isso aconteceu em Palmares Paulista-SP, se alcançou ou não os objetivos quanto à formação de cidadãos conscientes e críticos, e quanto à máxima qualidade do ensino prometida pela instituição. Nossa pesquisa foi conduzida à luz dos estudos da Teoria Crítica. Dentre eles, privilegiamos as contribuições de Adorno, em especial as categorias “semiformação” e “Indústria cultural”. Reunimos nossos dados através de pesquisa documental e entrevistas. Concluímos que a mesma lógica que submete a cultura à lógica da produção industrial e do mercado tende a ser incorporada nos processos de ensino de educação a distância, em termos de imaginálos mais eficientes e calculados na racionalidade do tempo. Em outras palavras, a escola contemporânea, mais precisamente com a educação a distância, no caso em análise, se tornou um aparato da indústria cultural exatamente por ser locus privilegiado da disseminação de semicultura. E, na indústria cultural, tudo se torna negócio.
Abstract
Our work had the objective in the distance to analyze the process of semiformation in the Education, using for in such a way, as example, the IESDE (Institute of Social Study of the Educational Development) that it offered the normal course of average level in the distance, in Palmares Paulista of São Paulo, in the period of 2003 the 2004. We examine, still, the direction of the proposal, verify as the proposal happened in Palmares Paulista of São Paulo, if it reached, or objective not considered them, how much to the formation of conscientious and critical citizens, and how much to the maximum quality of the education promised for the institution. Our research was lead to the light of the studies of the Critical Theory. Amongst them, we privilege of the contributions of Adorno, in special in the texts Theory of the semiformation and cultural Industry. We congregate our data through documentary analysis and interviews. We conclude that the same logic that submits the culture to the logic of the industrial production and the market tends to be incorporated in the education processes, in terms to imagine them more efficient and calculated in the rationality of the time. In other words, the school contemporary, more necessarily with the education in the distance, if became an apparatus of the cultural industry accurately for to be place privileged of the semiculture dissemination. E, in the cultural industry, everything becomes business.
