O BANDEIRANTE COMO TEMA DA EDUCAÇÃO BRASILEIRA: UM ESTUDO DOS LIVROS DIDÁTICOS PUBLICADOS ENTRE 1894 E 2006

Resumo
Este trabalho pretende contribuir para a compreensão acerca de como a figura do bandeirante paulista foi abordada nos livros didáticos de história, publicados no Brasil entre 1894 e 2006. Como alicerce indispensável, para se levar a cabo esse estudo que privilegia a bibliografia escolar, empreendeu-se uma investigação anterior, que privilegiou a leitura não apenas da ampla bibliografia - não didática - que trata do bandeirismo, como também de uma extensa documentação primária, no caso as Actas da Camara da Villa de S. Paulo, volumes I, II, II, IV e V - e o Registo Geral da Camara Municipal de S. Paulo, volumes I, II e III. Esse programa de leituras formou a base elementar para a escrita dos capítulos I e II - que juntos formam a Parte I deste trabalho - intitulados respectivamente Os primórdios de São Paulo de Piratininga e As entradas do sertão: índios, sertanistas e jesuítas. À luz desses dois capítulos iniciais, empreendeu-se a análise dos livros didáticos publicados entre 1894 e 2006, constatando que nessas obras, o bandeirante foi predominantemente apresentado como um desbravador heróico, envergando trajes e armamentos que não condizem, de maneira alguma, com o cotidiano pobre que - segundo não apenas a documentação primária, como muitos autores - foi vivenciado na vila de São Paulo, em seus dois primeiros séculos de fundação. A reiterada disseminação da figura do bandeirante herói, por parte dos livros didáticos contribuiu, de maneira significativa, para que essa concepção acerca desse personagem histórico se estabelecesse, sem dúvida como predominante, na sociedade brasileira.
Abstract
This work looked for to contribute for the understanding of as the pioneer's from São Paulo illustration it was approached in the history text books, published in Brazil between 1894 and 2006. As indispensable theoretical foundation, so that we carried out that study that privileges the school bibliography, we undertook a previous investigation, that it privileged the reading not just of the wide bibliography - no didacticism - that treats of the expedictions, as well as of an extensive primary documentation, in the case Actas of the Camera of S. Paulo's Villa, volumes I, II, II, IV and V - and General Registo of S. Paulo's City hall, volumes I, II and III. That program of readings formed the theoretical base for the writing of the chapters I and II - that together they form the Parte I of this work - entitled The origins of São Paulo of Piratininga and The entrances of the interior respectively: Indians, sertanistas and Jesuits. To the light of those two chapters, initials, we undertook the analysis of the text books published between 1894 and 2006, consisting that, in those works, the pioneer was predominantly presented as a heroic explorer, bending clothes and armaments that don't match, in way some, with the daily poor that - second not just the primary documentation, as many authors- you/he/she was lived at the town of São Paulo, in their first two centuries of foundation. Reiterated her/it spread of the illustration of the pioneer hero, on the part of the text books it contributed, in a significant way, so that that conception near of that historical character if it established, without a doubt as predominant, in the Brazilian society.
