Resumo
O Presente trabalho objetiva analisar as relações existentes entre as políticas educacionais de caráter neoliberal e a Educação Escolar Pública do estado de São Paulo no período que circunscreve a atuação de Geraldo Alckmin como governador de São Paulo (2001-2006). Os estudos aqui sistematizados indicam que a Política Educacional paulista, no período analisado, se baseia em valores da Indústria Cultural e da Racionalidade Instrumental que dominam o mundo contemporâneo, resultando na quase total adequação desse sistema de ensino ao que Adorno classifica como semicultura. Essa adequação atende aos interesses do capital na medida em que praticamente anula as possibilidades de desenvolvimento de uma educação que leve à construção de um conhecimento capaz de (re)conhecer a perversidade da sociedade contemporânea e, portanto, que leve à emancipação, ou seja, à possibilidade e construção de um outro modelo de organização social. O trabalho se desenvolve a partir dos estudos e desafios propostos pela Teoria Crítica da Escola de Frankfurt à sociedade contemporânea, em especial textos de T. W. Adorno, Max Horkheimer e os estudos de alguns dos principais estudiosos da Teoria Crítica no Brasil.
Abstract
The herein study aims to analyze the relationship between the educational policies of neo-liberalistic character in Public Elementary Education in the state of São Paulo during the period in which Geraldo Alckmin acted as governor of São Paulo (2001-2006). The studies demonstrated here indicate that the state’s Educational Policies, during the reviewed period of time, are based on values from the Cultural Industry and Instrumental Rationality that dominate the contemporary world, resulting in the almost complete adaptation of the educational system into something which Adorno classifies as semi culture (Halbbildung). This adaptation meets the interests of capital, since it practically annuls any possibility of development of an education that leads to the building of knowledge that would allow the recognition of the perversity in contemporary society, therefore leading to emancipation - the possibility and building of a different model of social organization. The work is developed from the studies and challenges proposed by the Critical Theory of the Frankfurt School to the contemporary society, particularly the writings of T. W. Adorno, Max Horkheimer and studies from some of the major scholars in Critical Theory in Brazil.
