Resumo
Esta pesquisa discute as práticas de leitura de alunos do ensino fundamental, abordando aspectos da linguagem sob a perspectiva bakhtiniana e a questão da leitura enquanto prática social que envolve experiências diversas do sujeito leitor. Diante das transformações sócioculturais por que estamos passando, a escola precisa encontrar maneiras de oferecer experiências significativas a seus alunos, compreendendo a constituição destes enquanto sujeitos leitores. Com base nos conceitos do Círculo de Bakhtin (dialogismo, interação verbal, relações sociais, atitude responsiva, gêneros do discurso), este estudo busca refletir sobre a constituição de alunos do segundo ciclo do ensino fundamental enquanto leitores a partir das práticas de leitura realizadas por estes sujeitos na escola e na Internet. Para tanto, 31 (trinta e um) alunos da 7ª série (8º ano) de uma escola municipal participaram de um projeto de leitura constituído, principalmente, por leituras sugeridas pela professora e por livros escolhidos pelos próprios alunos, além de discussões sobre este tema em sala de aula e em uma comunidade virtual do Orkut. Das atividades realizadas, foram filmadas rodas de conversa sobre as práticas de leitura destes alunos e foram coletados registros escritos dos alunos postados em fóruns da comunidade virtual criada especialmente para esta finalidade. Os episódios analisados mostram que os alunos se constituem leitores ressignificando as práticas de leitura escolares e outras práticas que permeiam seu cotidiano. As interações vivenciadas e a qualidade da mediação do professor neste processo são elementos essenciais para esta constituição. Este estudo pode colaborar para uma reflexão de outros professores sobre sua prática em sala de aula e a formação de leitores em escolas públicas.
Abstract
This research discusses reading practices of elementary school students, focusing on aspects of language according to the Bakhtinia perspective and the question of reading as a social practice including different experiences of reading subjects. Considering social-cultural transformations we are passing by, schools need to find ways for offering significant experiences to students, understanding their constitution as reading subjects. On the basis of concepts of Bakhtin’s Circle (dialogism, verbal interaction, social relationships, responsive attitude, discourse genres), this study aims to reflect on the constitution of students of the second cycle of basic education as readers considering reading practices carried through by them at school and the Internet. For doing this, 31 (thirty and one) 7th graders (8º year) of a county school were asked to engage in a reading project involving mainly readings suggested by their teacher and books chosen by themselves. In addition, we investigated discussions on this subject in the classroom and in an Orkut virtual community. Talking meetings about reading among these students were filmed and written registers were done of their posts about he subject in forums of the virtual community created especially for this purpose. The analyzed episodes show that students constitute themselves as school readers by resignifying reading practices and other practices which are part of their daily lives. Interactions they engaged in and the efficaciousness of their teacher’s mediation of the process are essential elements for this constitution. This study can help reflections by teachers in general about their classroom practices and the training of readers in public schools.
