Resumo
As Instituições de Ensino Superior (IES) privadas encontram-se num
contexto de crescente evolução e competitividade, necessitando de
profissionalização e ferramentas para auxiliá-las a gerir essa nova realidade. A Tecnologia da Informação (TI) oferece às empresas esse tipo de ferramenta, que pode ser aplicada nesse contexto. O trabalho apresentado tem como objetivo explicitar um conjunto de orientações para implantação de ferramentas de TI voltadas para uma IES. Foram escolhidas quatro ferramentas de TI: Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP), On-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP), Data Warehouse (DW) e Data Mining (DMn). Por meio de revisão bibliográfica, entrevistas e questionário on-line, analisaram-se as utilizações e vantagens
que essas ferramentas podem proporcionar às IES, a forma como os gestores as estão utilizando; as suas vantagens e benefícios; os cuidados e preocupações com o projeto de implantação; além de utilizar a experiência do autor no tema em questão.
Abstract
The Higher Education Institutions (HEI) private are in the increase
evolution and competitiveness context and need professionalizations and tools for assist them he manage this new reality. The Information Technology (IT) offer this kind of tools to the companies, wich can be apply in this context. The present work has a objective to explain a orientantions group to implementation IT tools directed towards HEI. Four IT tools had been chosen: Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP), On-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP), Data Warehouse (DW) e Data Mining (DMn). Revision was analysed by bibliographical research, interviews and on-line questionaries to show wich the uses and advantages that this tools can bring for the HEI and how the managers are using them, wich this advantages and benefits, and what troubles and problems that be consideration in the implamentation project, beyond using of the experience of the author in this subject.
